1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Argus Metrics ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Argus Metrics is a privacy-first web analytics platform that provides:

• Website traffic analytics and statistics
• Custom event tracking
• Conversion goal monitoring
• Team collaboration tools
• API access for data integration

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use Argus Metrics, you must:

• Provide a valid email address
• Be at least 16 years old
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your account credentials secure

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• All activity that occurs under your account
• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use Argus Metrics to track analytics on websites you own or have permission to monitor.

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purposes
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Track websites you don't own without permission
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the Service
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service
• Use the Service to collect personal data without consent
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Create fake accounts or engage in fraudulent activity
• Spam or abuse our support channels

5. Pricing & Payment

5.1 Subscription Plans

Argus Metrics offers multiple subscription tiers:

• Hobby (Free): 10,000 pageviews/month, 1 website
• Pro (€9/month): 100,000 pageviews/month, 10 websites
• Business (€29/month): 1,000,000 pageviews/month, unlimited websites

5.2 Billing

• Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Prices are in Euros (EUR)
• All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes
• You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically

5.3 Refunds & Cancellation

• You can cancel your subscription at any time
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial months
• Free tier accounts can be deleted immediately

5.4 Overage

If you exceed your plan's pageview limit, we will notify you and may:

• Suggest upgrading to a higher tier
• Temporarily stop tracking until the next billing cycle
• Charge overage fees as communicated

6. Data & Privacy

6.1 Your Data

You retain all rights to your analytics data. You can export or delete your data at any time.

6.2 Privacy Compliance

You are responsible for ensuring your use of Argus Metrics complies with applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.). Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle data.

6.3 Data Retention

• Analytics data is retained for 2 years by default
• You can delete data anytime from your dashboard
• Deleted data is permanently removed within 30 days

7. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

• Perform scheduled maintenance with notice
• Experience unexpected downtime
• Temporarily suspend service for security reasons

We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Argus Metrics and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service
• Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the last 12 months
• We are not responsible for data loss; you should backup important data

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Argus Metrics from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Data you collect using the Service

11. Termination

11.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your dashboard or contacting support.

11.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your account remains unpaid after 30 days
• We believe your account poses a security risk
• Required by law

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be revoked immediately
• Your data will be retained for 30 days then permanently deleted
• You can request a data export within 30 days

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via:

• Email notification
• In-app notification
• Posting on our website

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in Swedish courts.
